Bali, Indonesia is actually classified as an island. What's-more, It's home to over 4 million people. Denpasar, the capital of Bali, is densely populated and on the southern tip of the island. Kuta is an energetic beachside town with bars and restaurants. Seminyak, Sanur, and Nusa Dua are home to many beach resorts.

People flock to Bali for various reasons. Some of the most popular things to do in Bali are visit beaches, have a nature retreat, or practice yoga. Also something to consider, there is a wide variety of prices for accommodations all over Bali. Along with beaches, people can visit the active volcano or check out the stunning rice paddies. 

Bali's biggest industry is tourism, which could make expats feel like they're always on holiday. While hotels and resorts are abundant, the real estate market has seen growth as well. More and more AirBnb (short-term rentals) are popping up, making it easy for digital nomads to stay less than a year. It also makes for an opportunity for expat investment.
