Moving on from Saudi to Singapore

Josh and Kalie open up on their move from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to Singapore (with a layover in the US in between).

After living in South Korea and never visiting Singapore, Josh and Kalie felt it was time to check out this small but mighty island. Amidst the copious vacation days while working in Saudi, they planned a trip to check out 3 countries that they’ve never been to.

They flew into Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and after a few days, bused down to Singapore only to board a ferry for Batam, Indonesia. Just driving through Singapore was enchanting, but the duo had to wait. Once returning from the small Indonesian island of Batam back to the “Little Red Dot”, Josh and Kalie were captured by the greenery, the juxtaposition of colonial and modern architecture, the friendly people, couples holding hands, dog being walked, and the food…all the food.

In less than 24 hours, Josh and Kalie decided this needed to be the next place they live. In the hotel that night, they checked out jobs and found that company that they’d eventually work for, even though the process took a little more time than just a couple hour web search.

In this video, Josh and Kalie discuss the details to their move. Why they did it and how it turned out.
